Sadie had a great day in the field today she is coming along nicely with her bird work. This is her at 9 months. She sure likes to work the bobwhite quail from our recall pen. Her intensity level went through the roof when she busted 8 birds out this small sage brush.
what do you know about the French Brittany? I was offered ( free of charge) a 17 month male. They have very little control of him though, he like to RUN! He stays in the back yard, or given the chance, he is out the door and GONE on the run. He does come home after anout 1/2-45 min or so. I have had a brain injury and used to hunt a LOT/ but cannot walk a lot anymore/not real steady on my feet (balance problem) shattered right shoulder left colla bone and shoulder blade broken on left side fractures l1 thru l5 broken left ankle I have always liked Brittany dogs. He is about 35-40 lbs. I have never really trained a dog before for hunting.I had some different dogs that I bought that were trained for hunting and they did do a good job too. I am on full disability, which does NOT pay a lot. I have been saving for about 7-8 years now and am wanting to get a dog/doctors think it would be good for me too/ I am divorced after 35 years now too. I guess question is do you think that this dog would be worth taking on for me?? Please give me aa honest answer and the ways too.
