Over the years I have used many different brands and types of shock collars. By far the best one year to date is made by Tri-Tronics. I currently have the 500 series collar with a range of stimulation from 1-6. This remote has actually spent the winter in a hay field under a few feet of snow and found the following spring while out training dogs. Not many products will hold up like the Tri-tronic collars. There are a few things I really like about there system. First of all they are built to last and if you going to spend your money on a E-collar then buy one that will last you 10-20 years. Second they are very reliable and compact. The collar that goes on the dog has a very simple to use receiver that is just the right size to get the job done, yet isn’t so big that the dog feels like it’s going to tip over. Third they hold a charge for week’s on end. I use these collars almost everyday and only have to charge them up every couple months which is huge bonus. Fourth there customer service is first class. If you need something fixed or a new product sent out to you they are very fast and friendly. All in all I wouldn’t buy anything different at this point.
