German Shorthaired Pointer puppy pointing Quail

Shane form Arizona gave me a call today and told me how impressed he was with his new Shorthair puppy that he got from us a few months ago. He named him Lloyd. Not only is Shane impressed with Llyod and his natural intelligence, pointing, hunting, and retrieving instincts he’s also impressed how fast he potty trained. Shane trains with other bird dog enthusiasts near him and has turned heads. Shane has an owner of a local pheasant game preserve helping him with the training and it’s going really well. Thanks for the update Shane keep up the great work.

Here’s what Shane sent me today.

Like Jared said … Lloyd is really turning heads down here in AZ. The trainer and the other guys down there training their dogs with me cannot believe how well he is doing. This weekend one of the guys remarked “It’s like that dog was born broke.” Not gun shy one bit; naturally retrieved from day 1; soft mouth, doesn’t play with the bird…brings it right to me every time. The icing on the cake is that he is so well-behaved around the house too. Visiting friends always comment on what a great little pup, how well behaved and how smart he is. Maybe I got lucky or maybe its just the genetics you guys are breeding. I tend to believe it’s the latter. Will keep you posted on his progress in the coming months. Can’t wait for his first hunting season this winter!!!!
