Shed horn fininding labs

Earlier this summer we decided to add some labs to our kennel. We have always been fascinated by the labs the could find shed horns! Here is one of  our first shed horn dogs. His name is Cheater. We have been working him for a few months now and he is doing well. Finding horns in the wild all by himself. We purchased cheater from a local kennel here in Southern Utah called Antler Mounatian Labadors  Jared Madsen did the initial training on cheater and got us a great started antler dog. One of the points Jared makes on his website about the antler labs is “While any dog can be trained to do this, the ones that do it the best are usually as a result of selective breeding for those characteristics. All of the dogs for sale on this site come from proven shed antler hunting lines and have been specifically selected to be not only great antler dogs, but also come from some of the best “field trial” lines available. This means you can hunt waterfowl in the morning and sheds in the afternoon!”  We are excited to add this line to our kennel and see how things go in the future.
