NSTRA Field Trial

By April 21, 2011 April 26th, 2011 Hunting Dog Talk

This past weekend my wife and I went to the Best of the West NSTRA Event in Fayette, Utah. We had a great time, made some new friends, and watched some good dogs. We were able to run a few of our young dogs in the trial. We didn’t have a very good showing since neither of the dogs we ran had ever smelt a Bob White Quail before, but our intent was more to support the event and to meet some new people. The trial was ran very efficiently and they were even ahead of schedule at times.  If you have never been to a NSTRA event or any organized testing event (AKC Field Trials, American Field, NAVHDA) I would highly suggest going. By just going to one of these event’s you will learn more about your training ability and progress. Normally you will be able to see some nice dog work and hopefully motivate you to take your dog’s training to a new level. If you would like to learn more about NSTRA visit there site. http://www.nstra.org/history.htm We are excited for the other trials planned this spring and we hope to see you there.
